Welcome

Counselling isn't just for people with mental health issues, it’s a space to talk through whatever is worrying you, no matter how big or small that my seem to you - it matters and what you have to say matters and I want to offer you a safe, held place to do that. A place where you feel truly understood and accepted exactly as you are.

Do you find that you often put others needs above your own? Perhaps you've forgotten what it’s like to even think about yourself, your wants and your needs. I wonder if you are even aware you have needs or have simply lost touch with what they are? Counselling is an investment in YOU, a space where it is all about you and your needs. It might be the only time you have to focus on you and your own mental health without any outside stressors. Afterall, without our mental health, what do we have?

We've all heard the saying that it’s good to talk, but have you noticed that people rarely listen? Do they truly listen and take in what you are saying without offering unsolicited advice or brushing it off?

Maybe you are met with unhelpful suggestions as to how you can feel better or told to “look at the positives”. Counsellors don't do that; I won’t do that. I will listen and really hear you. I will try to understand what you are going through and help you find ways to move forward.

I am genuinely interested in what you have to say, I want to hear about your experiences. I want to help you to feel better, by truly getting to know you and holding a safe space so I can sit beside you in your pain and struggles.​​
